For those who missed it or need more practice, here is a link to the lesson regarding the discriminant of a quadratic equation. Make sure you click on the link for additional aid. Also, this link goes into a topic we haven't discussed yet and that is how the discriminant is linked to the graph of a quadratic function. We will be doing this once we start the graphing unit.

Link: Discriminant

Worksheet:Discriminant Worksheet

topic of quadratic equations that are not factorable continues. Please click on the link for additional aid and resources: Quadratic Equations with Irrational Roots

Continuing on our topic of radicals, here is a link to adding and subtracting radical expressions lesson:Adding/Subtracting Radicals

As always, find attached a worksheet with answers for this topic: Worksheet - Adding/Subtracting Radical Expressions

As promised, here is a link to percent error and relative error. There are sandwiched in between other errors in measurement. Please focus on percent and relative error. Relative/Percent Error

Here is a worksheet with answers to help you practice: Worksheet - Relative/Percent Error

Here is a link to simplifying radicals with variables. As always feel free to print it out and if you have questions please bring it to class with you: Radicals with Variables

1. Multiplying Radical Expressions, Dividing Radical Expressions, and Rationalizing Radical Expressions:Mult/Div/Rationalizing Radical Expressions

2. Worksheet for this topic: Worksheet

1. This involves simplifying radicals without variables: Simplifying Radicals

2. This is for simplifying radicals that have variables:Radical Expressions with variables

3. Review sheet for both: Review sheet with answers for Simplifying Radical Expressions

Review solving linear equations with rational coefficients. There is another method that this link describes which is known as eliminating the denominator. Read up on it and you can use it if you prefer but if you prefer the methods discussed in class, stick with it. Linear Equations with fractional coefficients

Here is a powerpoint presentation of adding and subtracting rational expressions with different denominators. Focus on what we did in class when the denominators have monomials only. Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions with different denominators

Once you have reviewed rational expressions, here are some review sheets that you can use to practice.

Multiplying/Dividing Rational Expressions: Review Sheet Multiplying and Dividing Rational Expressions

Adding/Subtracting Rational Expressions with same denominator: Adding and Subtracting Rational expressions with Common Denominator

The current topic we are on, Rational Expressions is based on factoring. Once you have reviewed factoring, please click on the following links to help with rational expressions. Click on the topics that have been covered in class so far.
